More about the birds

our story

He was a guy from Georgia and I was a girl from Texas, with many miles and laughs between us. We met at a conference. He thought I was funny and real. I thought he was funny and cute. We thought that would be the end of it with a swift goodbye and awkward hug. But, thanks to facebook, cell phones, and airplanes, G-D had other plans!

The two of us tried to fight it, after all, he thought we were too alike and I thought long distance would never work. Turns out, we had a lot in common and enough different to balance. And long distance reared its miserable head...but we won. His heart belonged to G-D and so did mine. That was the only way we found each other, and if you are still looking for your true love, look into G-D's heart first. After months of movie dates over the phone (including the same meals and drinks across the country), countless visits, and loads of prayer, Toby asked me to marry him :) I made a list when I was 19 of all the things I wanted and needed in a husband. He fulfilled all of them, down to the tiniest thing. I did the same for him. We were married on 10/10/10 in the most beautiful ceremony I could have ever imagined. Every minute has been worth it and now, I love him even more than I did before. Now here we are in Macon, GA (of all places, haha) and we're living the dream...or G-D's dream for us...and ready for what comes our way! Our relationship was tried by fire to last forever, and with G-D in the center, it has and will continue to flourish. Just thought you'd like to know :)
